NUTS + BOLTS: Big thanks to @toolwords for the T E X T T R E A T M E N T this week! We're big fans and this was such an awesome Instagram alert to, well, be alerted of.
SO DOWNLOADABLE: D.C. Arts Cards from illustrator/designer Kathryn Zaremba – SO COOL (and part of a larger project she completed for Neenah Paper).
ALL THE OPENINGS THIS WEEKEND: three-in-one tonight at the Anacostia Arts Center (+ dancing!); the food-themed PechaKucha Silver Spring (at Pyramid Atlantic!) sounds pretty amazing/delicious (and there are less than a handful of ten dollar tickets left, so jump on it); 100 artists from across the city are showing work at the DCAC "Wallmountables" exhibit; The Intentional's latest issue is out tomorrow with an opening party at Hole In The Sky; also tomorrow: Bombay Knox's Open Space is happening just off Georgia Ave, and all are welcome/invited to share their art or share the mic. L O V E T H A T .
AND NEXT WEEK, TOO: Weekend activity levels kind of go on forever – we've got a hype vid in the homepage FEATURED gallery for the Southside2Uptown art show on 7/14; an exhibit of 100 images from @DC.Corners is up at Black Whiskey as of 7/15; if you haven't gotten over to Filthy Lucre yet, there's another after-hours shot to get it in on Thursday; and you can get your DIY sculpture on, 7/16, at Hillyer's Culture Blast.
