FIND YOUR ZEN. It's been a heavy week. Here are some adorable/sweet/smart kids doing yoga, as part of a sweetgreen in schools x Flow Yoga class we sat in on a few days ago. Learn more about sweetgreen's health, wellness, and nutrition program here (and here, too).
BALTIMORE. The social media imagery surrounding the protest, riots, and uprising in Baltimore have been incredibly powerful. Kudos to The Washington Post's Nicole Crowder for offering the perspective of Baltimore native Devin Allen at The Post's In Sight blog a few days ahead of his Time cover. For links to organizations assisting rebuilding efforts, community, and youth, click here.
SCOTUS. Great visuals from the steps of the Supreme Court this week are up at photographer Keith Lane's blog. Learn more about how to get involved in the fight for marriage equality at HRC Local, and LOLz (maybe?) at Politico's round-up of the "8 Most Awkward Moments" from Tuesday's arguments.
LE WEEKEND. @ibatapaints starts a new painting today as part of the Copyist Program at the NGA (Gallery 56/West Building/11AM-3PM) – his copyist versions include #paintingblackpeople into classic works, so...YES (h/t @hughesbraden). Tonight's Injustice Among Us opening at ReCreative Spaces features a live performance from tap dancer Bakaari Wilder; Art Whino's El Mundo de Los Luchadores is Saturday. Sunday's Hinckley Pottery annual ceramics show in Adams Morgan looks like an excellent place to score Mother's Day gifts, and if you've got any juice left on Monday night, check out the screening of short documentary Déjenos Pasar on Euclid Street.
